The War Memorial, Station Road, Camperdown.
It is evident that with the 90th Anniversary of the Armistice the level of interest in the event nationally increased significantly and Burradon and Camperdown was no exception.
Despite the inclement weather the remembrance service was well attended which is in stark contrast to previous years.
Wreaths were laid by the Church of the Good Shepherd, The Burradon & Camperdown Forum and the Royal Marines Association.
The Royal Marines Association provided a standard bearer which made the service even more poignant and was a fitting tribute to the memory of the men from the village who died in
the Great War and the Second World War.
We hope that future Remembrance Sunday Services will be equally well attended and the Burradon & Camperdown Forum will ensure that a meeting will be held in 2009 to discuss ideas to increase attendances in the future.
