World War Two Visitor

Year Three were very lucky to have a special visit from Major Campbell who was a young child during the Second World War.

Major Campbell told year three all about his way of life during the war, from lack of clothes and food to not seeing both his parents as they were away doing their ‘bit’ for the war.

Year three really enjoyed Major Campbell’s visit, they asked lots of interesting questions and all learned something new about the war. It was especially interesting to hear about local villages nearby where bombing and evacuation took place.
